The US Department of Transportation (DOT) says it has awarded Boutique Air (4B, San Francisco) contracts to provide Essential Air Services (EAS) at Alamosa and Cortez, Colorado, over a two-year period running from October 1, 2016, through to September 30, 2018 using nine-seater PC-12 equipment.
In the first instance, Boutique Air will provide Alamosa with eighteen weekly return flights to Denver International alongside six weekly return flights to Albuquerque International for a total annual subsidy rate of USD2,593,050.
In the second instance, Boutique Air will provide Cortez with twelve weekly return flights to Denver Int'l alongside a 12x weekly return service to Phoenix Sky Harbor for a total annual subsidy rate of USD3,580,480.
Given the late commencement of the contracts, incumbent operator Great Lakes Airlines (Cheyenne) has been directed to maintain its existing EAS flights at Alamosa (Denver Int'l) and Cortez (Denver Int'l) through to October 31, 2016.
