US-Bangla Airlines (BS, Dhaka) will begin international jet operations later next month the airline's Deputy General Manager (Marketing Support & PR), M Kamrul Islam, has disclosed.

Using its growing fleet of B737-800s, the Bangladeshi carrier will deploy its first of the type, S2-AJA (msn 30039), on 4x weekly Dhaka-Muscat, Oman flights starting November 11. A 2x weekly Chittagong-Muscat service will also start around the same period.

US Bangla Airlines is expecting a trio of B737-800s which will be used to boost its international network coverage which, at present, consists only of Kathmandu, Nepal.

New destinations that have been touted to launch in the near-term include: Kolkata (India); Paro (Bhutan); Kuala Lumpur International (Malaysia); Guangzhou (China); Singapore Changi; Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (Thailand); and Doha Hamad International (Qatar).
