United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) has taken delivery of its maiden B777-300(ER) - N2331U (msn 62642). Powered by General Electric GE90-115Bs, the widebody twinjet was positioned from Everett to San Francisco on Wednesday, December 21.
United has a total of fourteen of the type on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National).
As it stands, N2331U's maiden commercial service is scheduled for February 16, 2017 when it operates New York Newark-San Francisco. Its maiden intercontinental route - San Francisco, CA-Hong Kong International - will launch on March 25 replacing an existing B747-400 service.
