Green Africa Airways (Q9, Lagos) is set to pursue its Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the airline's founder and CEO, Babawande Afolabi, has disclosed.
“The need for a quality airline that will better connect people and resources in Nigeria and further open up the West African seaboard is unequivocally clear," he told Branch Crunch Nigeria in an interview. "That said, we’ve always thought that building Green Africa Airways is going to be a classic case of an enduring house painstakingly built one brick at a time.”
The start-up was granted an Air Services Licence (ASL) just over a year ago. Afolabi did not disclose any launch timelines or early network plans.
