Poland's Lodz airport has announced that it will terminate its contract with Slovenia's Adria Airways (Ljubljana), effective June 30.
"Despite negotiations with the carrier, a mutually satisfactory agreement was not reached. The carrier's offer is too expensive compared to others on the market," the airport announced on its Facebook page.
The airport authority also advised that it is in talks with other operators.
Adria Airways currently runs a service from Lodz to Munich using CRJ700 equipment. The Slovenian airline had already terminated flights from Lodz to Amsterdam Schiphol on March 31, and its Paris CDG service on January 28. With the closure of its Lodz base, Adria will now maintain two bases – one in Ljubljana and the other in Pristina.
