Norwegian (Oslo Gardermoen) has taken delivery of its maiden B737-8s following the handing over of EI-FYA (msn 42830) and EI-FYB (msn 42826) at Seattle Boeing Field on Thursday, June 29.
The aircraft were subsequently ferried to Oslo Gardermoen for onward placement with Norwegian Air International (Dublin International) which will then use them on transatlantic services later in July. A further four of the type are expected by year-end.
Through its Arctic Aviation Assets leasing unit, Norwegian has unfilled firm orders with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for 108 B737 MAX 8s with options for ninety more.
