Air Europa (UX, Palma de Mallorca) has signed an agreement with BOC Aviation for the long-term leases of four B787-9 aircraft. The Singapore-based lessor said in a statement the aircraft would be sourced from its Boeing (BOE, Washington National) order book and would deliver in 2019. The aircraft will be powered by the Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 motors.
According to Boeing, Air Europa has fourteen B787-9s on order alongside eight B787-8s. Though the -8 order has now been fulfilled, the first -9s are only due to arrive in 2018 with the full compliment due through to 2022.
