flydubai (FZ, Dubai International) has been granted 5th Freedom traffic rights for flights between Sarajevo, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and the Montenegrin capital, Podgorica, which will launch later this year.
The Emirati budget carrier said in a statement its 2x weekly Dubai International-Sarajevo-Podgorica return service would commence from November 1 using B737-800 equipment.
“With the launch of our flights to Podgorica, we continue to offer passengers more ways to explore and discover Montenegro," Ghaith Al Ghaith Chief Executive Officer of flydubai, said. "The popularity of our summer flights to Tivat has shown a continuous demand for more access to this part of the world and we are delighted to be offering flights to Montenegro on a regular basis.”
According to the ch-aviation route database, there are currently no scheduled services in effect between the two former Yugoslav republics.
