Enter Air (E4, Warsaw Chopin) has confirmed it has ended B737 Classic operations following the retirement of SP-ENI (msn 28489) on Monday, October 2.
The Polish carrier's last remaining B737-400, SP-ENI's last commercial service was flight E4 1048 - Sevilla-Poznan Lawica - following which it was ferried to Katowice Pyrzowice. Seven other B737-400s left Enter Air's fleet late last year.
"The objective of the fleet replacement process is to increase the Group's profitability and operational capabilities," Enter Air CEO and boardmember Grzegorz Polaniecki said in a statement. "Since the end of 2016, we have been gradually phasing out our B737-400s in favour of more B737-800s. Currently our fleet is unified and consists of seventeen B737-800s."
A further two B737-800s will join the carrier's fleet in time for the start of the summer 2018 season. Thereafter, Enter Air's first two B737-8s are due to arrive by year-end 2018.
