Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium (Brussels National) has terminated all commercial air operations with its last revenue service - HQ1508 Tenerife Sur-Brussels National - having taken place on Friday, October 27.
Under the terms of a deal struck with Thomas Cook Group earlier this year, Lufthansa Group unit Brussels Airlines (SN, Brussels National) has assumed all of TCAB's 160 pilots and cabin crew, all its flight slots, and two of its five A320-200s - OO-TCQ (msn 2114) and OO-TCV (msn 1968). In return, Thomas Cook Belgium has begun using Brussels Airlines for its capacity requirements.
As previously reported, SHS Aviation B.V., the Dutch parent firm of VLM Airlines (Antwerp) and VLM Airlines (Slovenia), will acquire two other TCAB A320-200s as part of a deal that also included TCAB's AOC.
