National Airways (Ethiopia) (9Y, Addis Ababa International) is set to acquire its first own jet equipment following the purchase of three Embraer E145s - msn 145300, 145546 and 145573 - from Bangladesh's NovoAir (VQ, Dhaka). The transaction was facilitated by Airstream International Group (AIG).
The Ethiopian passenger charter specialist's fleet had, until this announcement, constituted one Fokker 50 and one Beech 1900D. It had also recently added B737 freighter capacity as part of a cooperation agreement with NAS Cargo and Logistics.
