AirSWIFT (T6, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has taken delivery of its first ATR72-600 following the arrival of RP-C7201 (msn 1440) in the Philippines this past weekend.
On lease from Nordic Aviation Capital, the ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprop was positioned from Billund to the Philippines via Budapest, Cairo International, Abu Dhabi International, Nagpur, Chiang Mai and Ho Chi Minh City over the course of February 8-12 according to Skyliner Aviation and AirNav RadarBox ADS-B data.
Once in service, it will supplement the Filipino carrier's existing fleet of three ATR42-600s of which one, RP-C4205 (msn 1210), is also an NAC lease.
According to the ch-aviation capacity module, AirSWIFT currently operates a network of domestic flights mainly out of El Nido, a popular tourist resort, connecting it with each of Manila Ninoy Aquino International, Cebu, Caticlan, and Angeles City Clark International. It also serves Basco out of Manilla Ninoy Aquino Int'l. In 2018, the carrier plans to add further destinations out of El Nido, as well as launch flights to Sicogon out of the Filipino capital.
