Alis Aerolinee Italiane (Milan Malpensa) has as expected submitted a bid for the cargo division of Alitalia (AZ/Rome Fiumicino) and is planning to launch scheduled cargo operations in spring with an ex-Alitalia MD-11SF freighter. It is considering leasing additional MD-11SFs later as a stop gap solution until its own A330-200F freighters will be delivered.
