SkyUp Airlines (PQ, Kyiv Boryspil) has finalized a firm order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for five B737 MAX with options for a further five of the family.
In a statement, the Ukrainian start-up said the firm order jets consist of two B737-8s and three B737-10s due to deliver in 2023 alongside five MAX options (if exercised).
SkyUp plans to commence operations in April with charter flights covering Ukraine domestically as well as Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Bulgaria, and Montenegro regionally.
It will launch with a fleet of three B737NextGen aircraft - two B737-800s and one B737-700 - due to deliver shortly.
