Oman Air (WY, Muscat) has set plans in motion to end Embraer regional jet operations after it formally mandated Airstream International Group to find placements for its fleet of four wholly-owned E175s which average 6.4 years of age.
According to an advertisement, Airstream is looking to remarket the Omani EMB-175s for sale, lease or lease-purchase.
As previously reported, Oman Air is in the process of streamlining its fleet operations with the B737 forming the backbone of its narrowbody fleet (twenty-one B737-800s, five B737-900(ER)s, and two B737-8s at present) while a combination of the A330 (four A330-200s and six -300s) and B787 (four B787-8s and three -9s) make up its widebody fleet.
