Capital Airlines (China) (JD, Beijing Daxing International) inducted the first A320neo into its fleet on September 18. The initial aircraft of the type, B-1248 (msn 7996) arrived at Beijing Capital airport in the morning of September 19 on its delivery flight from Hamburg Finkenwerder via Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev, FlightRadar24 ADS-B data shows.
The aircraft - which flew for the first time on September 5, according to ch-aviation fleets data - complements Capital Airlines' existing Airbus narrowbody fleet consisting of twenty A319-100s, thirty-four A320-200s, and seventeen A321-200s.
HNA Group unit Capital currently operates from 10 bases across China with more of its capacity deployed to Hangzhou, Sanya, Lijiang, Haikou, and Xi'an Xianyang than to its Beijing Capital homebase. China's capital gateway is only the sixth largest base for the airline, ch-aviation capacity data shows.
