Air Macau (NX, Macau International) has signed lease agreements with BOC Aviation covering the delivery of three A320neo. Powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1100G motors, the twinjets will arrive during the first half of 2019.
As previously reported, Chief Executive Officer Chen Hong said earlier this year the A320neo will be used to supplement the Macanese carrier's existing fleet of four A319-100s, four A320ceo, and ten A321ceo.
In addition, the A320neo's extended range will allow for the opening new routes to Mumbai International in India and potentially to Perth International in Australia.
At present, Air Macau serves 28 destinations in China, Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan from its Macau International hub.
