Saudia (SV, Jeddah International) has announced thats its freight subsidiary, Saudia Cargo, will become a member of Skyteam Cargo effective April 15, 2019.
"Joining SkyTeam Cargo means our valued customers will benefit from an enhanced product offering and a comprehensive global network. In turn, we will support the wider alliance by extending its reach across the Middle East, Africa and Indian subcontinent via our hubs in Jeddah International and Riyadh," Omar Hariri, CEO, Saudia Cargo said.
Other members of the freight alliance include Aeroflot, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeroméxico, Air France-KLM, Alitalia, China Airlines, China Cargo Airlines, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Korean Air.
Saudia Cargo currently operates two B747-8(F)s and four B777-Fs as well as two B747-400(BDSF)s, one -400(FSCD), and one -400(ERF) all of which are wet-leased from Turkey's AirACT. In terms of network, it connects Saudi Arabia with East and Southern Africa, Europe, the Far East, and the United States.
