SkyWest Airlines (OO, St. George Municipal) has announced in a press release that it will launch a maintenance facility in San Luis Obispo, CA.
The regional carrier signed an agreement to lease a 17,000 square foot (1,580 square metre) hangar from ACI Jet which will accommodate up to five regional jets and will provide services for all of SkyWest's major airline customers. The facility is scheduled to open in September 2019.
"SkyWest selected San Luis Obispo and ACI Jet’s facility as our new maintenance base because of its location, competitive costs and position within our route network," Vice-President (Maintenance) Bill Dykes said.
