Neither the Chilean airline nor the manufacturer commented on the report which said SKY was the unidentified customer that placed the order on September 30.
SKY Airline currently operates nine A319-100s and ten A320neo. Chief executive Holger Paulmann told ch-aviation in June that SKY is expecting a total of twenty-one A320neo from various lessors by 2021. At least four of those jets will be placed with SKY Airline Perú (H8, Lima International).
In addition, SKY will lease three A321neo from Air Lease Corporation for delivery in 2020 and 2021 for use on SKY's high-density routes.
