A new cargo operator has been established in Bishkek using the name Kyrgyz Airlines Plus (Bishkek). According to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Justice, Kyrgyz Airlines Plus LLC was re-registered on October 24, 2019, with its founders listed as Almaz Matmusaev and Jenish Orozbaev, the latter being the head of the company.
The company will initially put into service a single 44-ton payload A300F, registered as 4L-BAK (msn 183), and is targetting destinations in Russia, Turkey, China, Iran, UAE and Southeast Asia.
The aircraft was previously operated by Geo Fly Airways (Tbilisi) based in Tbilisi. Searching Flightradar24 ADS-B data, the aircraft has been inactive for some time before it was ferried to Bishkek on November 5.
According to statements on the Bishkek Airport website about the airline's launch: "The main goal of the company is to promote the development of domestic civil aviation, expand the geography of flights, attract new investors to the Kyrgyz Republic, and meet the growing demand of the population for high-quality aviation services for the delivery of perishable goods and consumer goods by air."
There are presently no cargo airlines in Kyrgyzstan. Authorities there hope that the opening of a domestic cargo airline and the acquisition of an aircraft will contribute to the development of civil aviation in the country.
When referring to the ch-aviation capacities module, only two airlines currently offer scheduled cargo flights from the Kyrgyz capital city, namely Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) with 12x weekly services to Istanbul Airport, Guangzhou and Shanghai Pudong, and Silk Way West Airlines (7L, Baku Heydar Aliev International) with 2x weekly operations to Hong Kong International and Pudong.
