Air Macau (NX, Macau International) inducted its first A321-200neo during a ceremony at Macau International Airport on Tuesday, December 24.
Though B-MBQ (msn 9263) was handed over on December 13, it was subsequently ferried to Hong Kong International for completion before heading to Macau on December 21. Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows it has already been deployed into service on flights to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Seoul Incheon, and Hanoi Noi Bai International.
The twinjet is the first of two such aircraft to be leased from Air Lease Corporation. The second of the pair will deliver in May 2020. Air Macau is expecting a further three A321neo to deliver from AerCap between November 2020 and October 2021.
All five aircraft are powered by Pratt & Whitney PW1133G-JM motors and feature 12 seats in business class and 186 in economy class.
Air Macau currently operates two A319-100s, six A320-200s, three A320-200neo, and ten A321-200s. According to the ch-aviation schedules module, the A321s are currently deployed on routes to Thailand, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Viet Nam.
