Copenhagen AirTaxi (CAT, Copenhagen Roskilde) took delivery of its first CRJ900LR on August 16, 2021, and will operate it on behalf of virtual carrier Global Reach Aviation (GAV, Billund), alongside two CRJ200s.
The handover was delayed compared to the original schedule, which foresaw the induction into service by the end of July 2021. Following its registration in Denmark, OY-MIT (msn 15078) was ferried after maintenance at Ljubljana to Billund on August 17 but has yet to be deployed into active service with the carrier, AirNav Radarbox ADS-B data indicates. At 15.1 years of age, the aircraft was originally delivered to Lufthansa CityLine in 2006. The German carrier was its only operator thus far, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows.
Besides the two CRJ-200s and the newly added CRJ-900 operated for Global Reach Aviation, Copenhagen AirTaxi also operates two B737-400s on behalf of its nascent leisure subsidiary, Airseven (Copenhagen Roskilde), which is a virtual carrier without a separate AOC. It also operates a single BN-2 on its scheduled routes from Copenhagen Roskilde to Anholt and Laesø under the Rutetaxa brand. It also has a fleet of smaller aircraft for air taxi and training flights.
