Global Reach Aviation (GAV, Billund) has obtained its own Air Operator's Certificate - DK.AOC.089 - from the Danish Transport Authority (Trafikstyrelsen) as a step towards greater operational independence.
"It's quite an achievement, and we are so proud that we now have our own AOC. We are now masters of our own house. This gives us freedom and many opportunities. At the same time, it is a responsibility we have been ready to take on for a long time," Chief Executive and owner Jacob Rasmussen said.
The passenger charter specialist operates one CRJ200LR and one CRJ900LR, the ch-aviation fleets module shows. The aircraft are based out of Billund but are available for charters around Europe. Until the end of April, both aircraft were operated by Copenhagen AirTaxi (CAT, Copenhagen Roskilde). Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows that the first flight under Global Reach Aviation's own code is scheduled to be operated by CRJ200 OY-CRJ (msn 7384) on May 5 from Billund to Düsseldorf and Bologna.
Global Reach Aviation did not respond to ch-aviation's request for comment.
Copenhagen AirTaxi continues to operate two B737-400s and one B737-800 on behalf of virtual carrier Airseven.
