Everts Air Alaska (5V, Fairbanks International) has acquired its first three BAe 146-300(QT)s, both ex-JOTA Aviation (London Southend) stock, Skyliner-Aviation has reported.
N246QT (msn E3182) and N346QT (msn E3186) were registered to Arctic One LLC, an investment vehicle of Chief Executive Robert Everts, on September 14, 2022, although they remain parked at Cranfield airport in the United Kingdom. Both aircraft were retired in early 2022, shortly before JOTA Aviation suspended all operations and subsequently went into voluntary liquidation. G-JOTD (msn E3168) was de-registered from the United Kingdom on September 21, but has yet to be inducted into the US register.
"They will be operated in Alaska under 14CFR Part 125 for freight and bulk fuel hauling. We are in the process of completing required maintenance in order to ferry them to Alaska," Vice-President (Maintenance and Program Development) Jim Turner told ch-aviation.
Everts Air Alaska's fleet also comprises one B727-200(F), one MD-82(SF), and five MD-83(SF)s, as well as an inactive DC-9-30(CF), two DC-9-30Fs, one DC-9-30RC, and two MD-82s, the ch-aviation fleets module shows. It also has three Douglas C-118s, nine DC-6(F)s, two PC-12/47s, two Cessna (single turboprop) C208Bs, and one Curtiss Wright C-46D. The airline operates a mix of cargo and passenger charter flights, as well as a limited scheduled passenger network covering Anaktuvuk Pass, Arctic Village, Barter Island, Eagle, Fort Yukon, Galena, Huslia, Kaltag, Nulato, Ruby, and Venetie.
The Alaskan carrier did not respond to ch-aviation's request for more information regarding its BAe 146 plans.
