Star Air (India) (S5, Belgaum) ordered two incremental E175s in December 2022, increasing its future fleet of the type to four, the carrier said in a social media wrap-up of 2022.
The regional carrier would lease the additional two aircraft from Nordic Aviation Capital. The ch-aviation fleets module shows that Star Air currently operates five E145s, which it owns, and secured its first two E175s from Nordic Aviation Capital in the second half of 2022. The first of the pair is slated to be OY-YEF (msn 17000852), a 2.3-year-old aircraft formerly operated by Belavia (B2, Minsk National) and currently under maintenance at Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski. Star Air plans to take it and induct it into service in the first quarter of 2023.
Star Air operates scheduled flights in southern and eastern India, mainly out of Belgaum and Bengaluru International airports.
