Air Algérie (AH, Algiers) has confirmed an order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for eight B737-9s while at the same time, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for two B737-800(BCF)s.

Although signed during the ongoing 2023 Paris Air Show, the MAX order was originally announced in May following a tender. Deliveries of the passenger jets are expected to start in 2027.

According to the ch-aviation fleets module, the state-owned airline operates a narrowbody fleet of five B737-600s (to be retired), two B737-700(C)s, twenty-four B737-800s, and one B737-800(BCF). All are outright owned. It recently flighted a tender for the dry-lease of two B737-800s and two more B737-9s.
