interCaribbean Airways (JY, Providenciales) began revenue ATR72-500 operations on August 25, 2023, amid plans to add a further nine ATR - Avions de Transport Régional turboprops over the next year.

VQ-THW (msn 702) debuted commercial flights with a Providenciales-Antigua service, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. The 20.8-year-old turboprop, previously operated by Villa Air (VP, Malé), was acquired by the airline earlier this year from Falko Regional Aircraft/Chorus Aviation Capital. It seats up to 68 passengers in a single-class layout.

The Turks & Caicos-based carrier added its first ATR, an ATR42-500, in 2021. Earlier this year, it bought seven ex-TAROM and one ex-Villa Air unit of the type, although none of them has been deployed into service yet.

The incoming ATRs will allow the airline to replace all ten E120s by the end of 2023. The ch-aviation fleets module shows the carrier also operates two DHC-6-200s and three E145s.
