Nigerian aircraft management business Viva Jets has taken on a Bombardier Business Aircraft Challenger 604, entering it into the local register as 5N-CDY (msn 5625). The aircraft was formerly placed at the UAE's Projets Aviation International and was the only 604 on their books.
ch-aviation research shows 5N-CDY acquired its Nigerian registration on April 18, 2024. It ferried over from Malta International on the same day. ADS-B flight tracking data indicates it almost immediately went into service, operating a series of flights around Africa, as far south as Cape Town International. However, it does not appear to have flown since June 7.
According to its website, Viva Jets provides aircraft management services, fractional ownership opportunities, and aircraft sales and acquisition services. In addition to the Challenger 604, social media postings by Viva Jets suggest it also has a Gulfstream 550 and Hawker 900XP available for charter.
