ConocoPhillips Aviation (Houston Intercontinental) has acquired its first E145XR. ch-aviation has identified the 11-year-old aircraft as N284CP (msn 14501178). It was formerly with Intel Aviation (Sacramento Mather) but was purchased by a company associated with ConocoPhillips earlier this year and transferred between the operators in late May 2024.
ConocoPhillips Aviation's existing fleet includes two Gulfstream G550s and one GVII, which, like N284CP, operate out of Houston, where ConocoPhillips has its headquarters. ADS-B flight data shows N284CP and one G550 are active, while the second G550 and the GVII are currently inactive.
ConocoPhillips'substantial aviation interests also include ConocoPhillips Aviation Alaska (CON, Anchorage Ted Stevens), which operates around 5,700 flights annually using one DHC-6-400 and three DHC-8-Q400s. The Alaskan operater primarily functions as a fly-in-fly-out carrier, transporting workers to the company's two North Slope oilfields at Kuparuk and Alpine.
