Kaz Air Jet (KEJ, Almaty International) has taken delivery of its first heavy business jet, a Legacy 600, ch-aviation research has revealed.
UP-EM029 (msn 14501072) was ferried from Istanbul Atatürk to Almaty International on May 22-23, 2024. It subsequently operated a test flight from Almaty to Shymkent and Taraz and back on May 28, before entering into service May 30 with the first flight to Minsk National.
The 15.7-year-old aircraft formerly operated by Aero FlightOps UK has since been deployed on flights within Kazakhstan, to Russia, and occasionally to Europe and Asia.
Kaz Air Jet also operates two Yak-42Ds and two Cessna Citation 3s as well as a fleet of helicopters.
The business charter specialist was launched in 2007 and is 98%-owned by TOO North Energy Operating, a Kazakh company.
