Aurigny Air Services (GR, Guernsey) has sold its only jet, an E195, to lessor Azorra, continuing its strategic plan to simplify its fleet and focus on turboprop aircraft.
G-NSEY (msn 19000671) was retired from scheduled operations at the end of May 2024, slightly later than planned due to the protracted maintenance of the carrier's ATR72-600s. The 10.1-year-old jet, configured for up to 122 passengers in a single-class layout, was then parked at Exeter for maintenance and flew back to Guernsey on July 11.
UK Civil Aviation Authority records show Aurigny has already begun the process of deregistering G-NSEY which, once done, will leave the Guernsey-based carrier with three ATR72-600s and two Do228-212(NG)s. It plans to dry-lease a further two ATR72-600s later this year. For now, it is wet-leasing one ATR72-500 from Jump Air (JUP, Vilnius) having ended the wet lease of one Saab 340A(QC) from RAF-Avia (MTL, Riga) on July 15.
Azorra already has an extensive portfolio of Embraer regional jets comprising six E170s, two E175s, twenty-nine E190s, fifteen E195s, nine E190-E2s, and nine E195-E2s, the ch-aviation fleets ownership module shows.
