Air Peace (P4, Lagos) will damp-lease four B737-800s from AirExplore (ED, Bratislava) for the Northern Winter 2024/2025 season.
The Slovak airline, a subsidiary of Avia Solutions Group (ASG), will provide the pilots, while the cabin crew will be Air Peace's. The aircraft will be deployed domestically within Nigeria out of Lagos.
The ch-aviation fleets module shows that Air Peace operates an in-house fleet of seven B737-300s, four B737-500s, one B777-200ER, two B777-300s, eight E145s, five E195-E2s, and one executive Do328-300. It has unfilled orders for five E175s, eight more E195-E2s, and ten B737-8s. It also wet-leases two B737-700s under a long-term contract from Mongolia's Eznis Airways (MG, Ulaanbaatar).
The Nigerian carrier has cooperated with ASG ACMI/charter specialists in the past, damp-leasing two A320-200s from SmartLynx Airlines Malta in 2021-2023.
Air Peace did not respond to ch-aviation's question if the B737-800s will replace the two -700s or complement them.
AirExplore, which was acquired by ASG earlier this year, operates nine B737-800s, four B737-800(BCF)s, and four B737-800(SF)s.
