KlasJet (KLJ, Vilnius) will induct its first B737-800(BBJ) bizliner in the first quarter of 2025, targeting mainly the Middle Eastern executive charter market.

The Lithuanian carrier told ch-aviation the jet in question is LY-CER (msn 32971), a 23-year-old aircraft formerly operated by Mid East Jet (Jeddah International). KlasJet initially inducted the aircraft in 2022 with a plan to begin its operations in mid-2023. The BBJ has been parked at Glasgow Prestwick since late 2022 and is now undergoing refurbishment with Storm Aviation, a subsidiary of FL Technics. Both KlasJet and FL Technics are members of the Avia Solutions Group.

Although KlasJet already operates a sizeable executive charter fleet, LY-CER will be its first Boeing Business Jet. The carrier's fleet also comprises two B737-300s and three B737-500s deployed on charter routes, although these aircraft are configured for larger groups with seating for up to 56-104 passengers, depending on the aircraft. In turn, the BBJ will seat just 22 passengers.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows that KlasJet also operates seven B737-800s in an all-economy layout available for passenger ACMI and charters. The carrier plans to outfit one of these aircraft with dedicated business class.
