Tyrolean Jet & Service retires only XLS+ in its Maltese AOC

TJS Malta (TYJ, Malta International) has retired its only Citation XLS+, as revealed by ch-aviation research. However, it will continue to operate the type under its Austrian certificate within Tyrolean Jet & Service's fleet.

N933MR (msn 560-6126) completed its final flight under its previous Maltese registration, 9H-GRM, on July 29, 2024, around Zurich. It was subsequently exported to the United States on August 24, 2024, already bearing its new registration. The journey took it via Glasgow Prestwick, Reykjavik Keflavik, Narsarsuaq, Vancouver International, and Bangor International, before arriving at its final destination, Pittsburgh International, on August 27, 2024. Three days later, on August 30, 2024, already flying under its new operator code, 'RVJ' for Aircraft Management Group, it completed three test flights before heading to Wildwood.

At 11.8 years old, the aircraft was originally delivered to Germany's ProAir Aviation (PAV, Stuttgart Manfred Rommel) and was later registered in the US, Slovenia, and Austria. It was listed as OE-GRM under Tyrolean Jet & Service's Austrian AOC from February 2023 to January 2024. According to ADS-B data, since its registration in Malta in January 2024, the jet never operated under the 'TYJ' or 'TJS' codes associated with the two AOCs of Tyrolean Jet & Service.

Tyrolean Jet & Service, currently in the process of being acquired by Gama Aviation (GMA, Farnborough), has a fleet of seven aircraft registered in Austria. This includes one Citation Jet+, two Citation Jet 2s, one Citation XLS+, one Dassault Aviation Falcon 900EX, one Bombardier Business Aircraft Global 5000, and one Embraer Executive Jets Phenom 300E. It's Maltese AOC currently includes one Dassault Aviation Falcon 7X and one Pilatus Aircraft PC-12.

With this new addition, Aircraft Management Group, a US-based operator, will now operate its second Citation XLS+, under its Part 135-certified fleet, which also includes one Citation Latitude, one Citation Sovereign, five Hawker 400XPs, one Hawker 850XP, and one Hawker 900XP.
