Clay Lacy Aviation (CLY, Van Nuys) has partnered with Supernal, the US-based advanced air mobility (AAM) subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, to prepare its fixed-base operator (FBO) locations for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) operations. This marks Supernal's first collaboration with an FBO.

The five-year agreement aims to create operational plans for integrating AAM into existing airport infrastructure, focusing on standards for ground handling, maintenance, and battery management. The initial phase will target Clay Lacy's FBOs at Van Nuys and Santa Ana, CA, with plans to expand to other locations, including its new facility at Oxford, CT. Supernal aims to deliver its first eVTOL vehicles by 2028.

Clay Lacy Aviation has also received accreditation from the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) as a Sustainable Flight Department for Infrastructure, highlighting its commitment to environmentally friendly practices such as the provision of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and maintaining carbon-neutral facilities since 2019.

The company operates a fleet of 55 aircraft under its Part 135 certificate, featuring various models from Bombardier Business Aircraft, Dassault Aviation, Embraer Executive Jets, Gulfstream Aerospace, and Textron Aviation.
