Jet Paris has secured Air Operator Certificate (AOC) FR.AOC.0155 from the French civil aviation authority (Direction générale de l’aviation civile - DGAC) allowing it to commercially operate its fleet, which is composed exclusively of Honda Aircraft.
"It took us two years to obtain this certificate due to the strict regulatory standards of the French authorities," Vitaly Arkhangelsky, founder and CEO of Jet Paris, told ch-aviation. The company now aims to consolidate its operations in the coming months while addressing additional requirements that follow its certification.
The operator has a fleet of three HA-420 HondaJets, each between seven and nine years old. Over the past 15 months, the aircraft have undergone significant maintenance, preparing them for the next five years. Arkhangelsky noted that any fleet expansion would depend on securing additional financing or investors.
He explained that a key challenge in operating an all-HondaJet fleet is finding qualified crew due to the limited availability of HondaJet-trained personnel in Europe. "We don’t have enough pilots yet; we need to hire them and train them first," he said. "While the HondaJet is well-established in the US, it’s still relatively unknown in Europe. We expect support from Honda to help expand the brand's presence in this market."
Jet Paris chose the HondaJet for its environmental efficiency, which aligns with the company’s operational goals. Maintenance for the fleet is carried out across Europe, including France, Germany, Italy, and Poland, to minimise environmental impact.
