Air Marshall Islands (CWM, Majuro) has ordered two 19-seater Cessna 408s to support travel between the communities of the Marshall Islands. CEO Albon Jelke says the order is a "major milestone" in the carrier's efforts to modernise its fleet. He expects delivery of the first Sky Courier in December 2025 and the second in January 2026.

"These new aircraft will be added to our fleet of Do228-212s and also expand our ability to serve the outer islands communities," he told ch-aviation.

Air Marshall Islands is a commercially operated airline owned by the Marshall Islands government and is based in the capital Majuro. According to ch-aviation PRO airlines data, it operates the two Dorniers to 20 airports around the central Pacific country. It expects to purchase a third Dornier early next year. It also operates two DHC-8-100s, one of which is stored.

Jelke says the Sky Couriers are an "exciting development" that will allow Air Marshall Islands to provide a more reliable and efficient schedule. "Our new SkyCouriers are perfectly designed to reach the remote atolls and islands, ensuring that essential air services are accessible to both our local communities and visitors,” he said.

At the time of publication, the two Dorniers are aged 32 and 33 years, respectively.

"We should have a total of three Dorniers and two Sky Couriers in our fleet in the near future," Jelke said.
