Royal Jet (ROJ, Abu Dhabi International) has taken delivery of a B737-700(BBJ C), the world's only unit of the type, and separately signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to order three ACJ320-200Ns with a further six purchase rights directly from Airbus Corporate Jets.
The B737, A6-RJK (msn 36756), was ferried to Abu Dhabi International under its previous American registration, N737AT, on September 30, 2024. It was deregistered from the United States and transferred to the UAE register on November 19 but has yet to fly for the new operator.
The aircraft is the world's only B737-700 outfitted as a business jet but also equipped with large cargo doors.
The newly added aircraft joined the operator's fleet of eight B737-700(BBJ)s. Royal Jet also operates two Global 5000s, one Global 6000, and two Global 7500s.
However, its current exclusive reliance on Boeing bizliners will end soon due to the new ACJ320-200N MoU. The operator has not disclosed the timeline for the deliveries of the aircraft or whether they would replace some of the B737-700(BBJ)s or be for fleet growth.
