Soulbird (OUL, Oklahoma City Wiley Post) has launched Pilatus Aircraft operations with the addition of its first Pilatus PC-24 to its Part 135-certified fleet, while also retiring its last Citation Mustang, ch-aviation research reveals.
The Pilatus PC-24, N984VE (msn 291), is a 2.4-year-old jet configured for up to eight passengers. Previously operated privately as N984PC and based at Indianapolis Executive, it was added to Soulbird’s charter fleet and is now based at Oklahoma City Wiley Post, where it arrived on December 18, 2024. It was later reregistered as N984VE on January 22, 2025.
Meanwhile, Soulbird has removed the last Citation Mustang from its Part 135 certificate. N22EM (msn 510-0047), a 17.7-year-old jet configured for up to four passengers, joined Soulbird's fleet in 2020. Based at Oklahoma City Wiley Post, it remained active until December 26, 2024, following a flight from Kansas City Downtown. It then performed two test flights before flying to Wichita Eisenhower on March 10, 2025, where it remains parked. Soulbird previously operated two Citation Mustang jets, one from 2013 to 2016 and the other from 2020 to 2024.
Following these changes, Soulbird’s Part 135 fleet now comprises a Citation M2, four Citation Jet 4s, a Citation Sovereign+, a G280, a HondaJet, a HondaJet Elite, the newly added Pilatus PC-24, and a King Air 360.
Soulbird is a trademark of Oklahoma Aviation, which operates a flight school at Oklahoma City Wiley Post with a fleet that includes Cessna 172s, Cirrus SR-20s, and Diamond DA-42s. The company also partners with Avion Aero, a Part 145 repair station providing maintenance services at the same airport.
