Air Link (LZ, Dubbo) has announced that its application to build a new hangar and office building at Dubbo, NSW, has been approved by the local council. The facility will also house Air Link's sister company, AirMed Australia, which provides non-emergency air ambulance services.
Air Link aims to break ground in the second half of 2025.
To support AirMed's operations, the new facility will include a dedicated patient transit lounge. It will also house a warehouse and maintenance area.
With scheduled flights out of Dubbo to Bourke, Lightning Ridge, and Walgett, Air Link is the smallest of four scheduled operators at the airport by capacity. The airline also provides business charter services with a jet fleet comprising one Citation Jet 2, one Citation M2, five Citation Mustangs, and one Phenom 100. Its turboprop and piston fleet comprises King Air B200s, Piper PA-31s, and other types. Air Med operates a further three Citation Mustangs, three PA-31s, and one Aerostar 600.
