JedAir (Lagos) has announced that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Canadian charter and ACMI specialist Voyageur Airways (VAL, North Bay) that will provide Dash 8-300 and Dash 8-400 aircraft for oil and gas charter operations in Nigeria. As part of the agreement, Voyageur will provide the aircraft, maintenance and insurance services for the operation while JedAir will provide crews and ground handling. As part of its fleet of over 20 turboprop and jet aircraft, Voyageur currently already operates six Dash 8-300s, mainly on behalf of the United Nations Humanitarian Air Service (UNO, Brindisi). It does not yet operate any Dash 8-400s. JedAir operates on the air operator certificate of charter carrier Wings Aviation (Nigeria) (Lagos) and currently has a single B737-200Adv. freighter.
