Germania (Berlin Schönefeld) CEO Andreas Wobig has told Airliners.de that the carrier would plan to acquire or lease two additional B737NG or A320 family aircraft later this year due to increased demand by tour operators for charter services. The suspension of services by German charter carriers German Sky Airlines (Düsseldorf) and XL Airways Germany (Frankfurt International) in the last quarter of 2012 has left a void that Germania hopes to be able to fill in this market segment.
