ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) is reportedly considering the A350-1000 as a potential replacement for some of its older B777s, ANA boss Osamu Shinoba has said. Speaking at the ongoing IATA AGM in Cape Town, South Africa, Mr Shinobe also said that his airline had not "aggressively" looked at the 777 upgrade Boeing (BOE, Washington National) had proposed, the 777-9X, leading to speculation that ANA could place its first significant Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) wide-body order in the near future. Fellow carrier, JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda), is also said to be possible candidate for the A350-1000.
