Air Caucasus (Tbilisi) has taken delivery of its first MD-83, N992JM (msn 49948), formerly with Avianca (Bogotá). The aircraft will be joined by two other MD-83s, msn 53122 and msn 53183, all of which are on lease from Swift AirCargo. It seems that earlier reports by local media in Georgia regarding planned B737-300 operations by Air Caucasus have been incorrect.
