bmi regional (Aberdeen Dyce) will close bases at Edinburgh, Birmingham, GB and Manchester and trim its network of five routes as part of a "comprehensive review" of its operations. In a statement, the airline said that though most of its European network would be unaffected by the closures, the following routes would be dropped between November and January including: Manchester to Edinburgh and Antwerp; Birmingham to Billund; and Edinburgh to Copenhagen Kastrup and Brussels National. As it stands, Aberdeen Dyce and Bristol International will be the airline's sole remaining UK bases as it reorients itself towards other British and European destinations. Acquired by Sector Aviation Holdings (SAH) in May 2012, bmi regional operates four E135s and fourteen E145s on scheduled services as well as leasing and charter contracts in the UK and Europe.
