Fastjet Zambia (Lusaka) has commenced the process of obtaining an Air Operators Certificate in Lusaka, fastjet Chief Commercial Officer, Richard Bodin, has disclosed.

Announcing the addition of a third weekly flight to its recently launched Dar es Salaam to Lusaka route, Mr Bodin said the high demand had boosted fastjet's confidence with regard to its plans to establish a separate "fastjet Zambia" company operating domestic flights in the country.

Fastjet (Dar es Salaam) also has plans to establish subsidiaries in South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya to supplement its existing Angolan and Ghanaian operations, Fly540 Angola (Luanda 4 De Fevereiro) and Fly540 Ghana (Accra).
