Greenland Express (Aalborg) has once more delayed its planned launch of operations following delays in readying its Fokker 100, D-AFKE (cn 11505). In a statement, CEO Gert Brask said the original June 2 launch date was no longer tenable given that the aircraft, on lease from Denim Air ACMI (Amsterdam Schiphol), had yet to be added to the ACMI specialist's Air Operators Certificate by the Dutch authorities.
Given the circumstances, Gert said it was impossible to name an exact launch date, adding that it was uncertain as to whether or not the start-up's first flights would be operated using D-AFKE or a generic back-up machine.
Initial services are expected to cover Aalborg, Copenhagen Kastrup, Kangerlussuaq, Narsarsuaq and Reykjavik Keflavik.
