Jet Asia Airways (Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) will mark its official transformation from a charter specialist into a scheduled operator with the launch of regular Bangkok Suvarnabhumi to Tokyo Narita flights this September.
The flight, which had originally operated as a charter, was suspended last month due to poor profit margins amid fierce competition.
Managing director Chairat Sangchan told the Bangkok Post that additional Japanese cities along with destinations in China and South Korea will also be added in due course.
In line with plans to increase its revenue base from the current USD100million to USD250million, the airline also intends to increase its fleet from the current five - four B767-300(ER)s and a B767-200(ER) - to ten by the end of 2014.
