Air Taraba along with sixteen other start-ups have applied to the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for their respective Air Operator Certificates (AOC).
In its monthly publication, The Regulator, the NCAA said the following airlines had taken their first steps towards the launch of commercial operations: Air Peace (P4, Lagos), EAN Aviation (Lagos), ExecuJet Nigeria (Lagos), Izy Air (Abuja), Air Jupiter, Manyatta Engineering Services (Kaduna), Toucan Aviation (Lagos), Baltic Air & Maritime Cargo Services (Abuja), Oriental Airlines (Lagos), Meridian Airlines (Kano), Millennium Travels & Tours, Okada Air (Benin City) (reapplication), and Airfirst (Lagos).
According to the ch-aviation airline database, Nigeria currently has thirty-nine active airlines offering scheduled and charter flights to the passenger, business aviation and cargo sectors.
